It’s so nice to have a highly functional platform like this. Who knows how much time I can sink into it this winter?
Eric got away for a mid-week climb of Mount Hood.
We’ve also added one recent adventure, scrambling “Rock-Thunder” Mountain, and one not-so-recent adventure in an attempt to catalog some of our older stories, scrambling Mount Ellinor.

This summer Eric offered up our beloved boy as a University of Washington lab rat. I’m told no babies were harmed in the process, but the experience does make for hilarious photos.

Plus, our Flickr site has a bunch more photos of other outings: the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, Carkeek Park, Sam’s first trip to a swimming pool, and — the creme de la creme — Sam wearing an electrode hat. (He participated in a cognitive science study at the University of Washington.)
Jill’s mom watched Sam for a day, so we escaped for our first real mountain adventure together since we’ve been parents. And it was awesome.
